Wondering why our server was crashing this morning, and even when it back back, why it was so slow? Well, Google News put a story by our very own Kent Pribbernow onto their front page, and it cause a big rush of traffic to come our way:

Ok, got a chance to look at the logs (thanks Janak!). Last week we were averaging about 3500 visitors per week day. Monday we jumped to 5084 and on Tuesday we had 10,867 visitors. It looks like the Google link went up at 6 AM (server time) and we had 1601 visitors that hour, then 2900 the next hour, 2472 the next hour, and 671 by 9 AM. By the 10 AM hour we were down to a more normal 241 visotors because it had rolled off the Google frontpage.
