The invitation is emblazoned with Apple's familiar silhouetted iPod dancers on colored backgrounds and says, "The biggest story in music is about to get even bigger." The invitation-only event is scheduled to take place at Old Billingsgate Market in London, England on June 15, 2004 at 11:00AM."<br /><br />Better late than never, I guess. While Apple remained US based, its competitors (namely Napster and Sony) have all launched services in the UK. It will be interesting to see if Apple can repeat the success it has had here the US.

Hmm, no mention of iTunes for Canada....

AppleInsider (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=484) has a story about some statements Steve Jobs made. One that caught my eye...
Jobs was reportedly pressed hard about supporting the WMA format. He said that Apple has no plans to support the format unless Microsoft reaches 50% market share, at which point Jobs welcomed Microsoft to ask him again.

Well that and this...
Jobs stated that he is proud not only of the products Apple has shipped, but also the products Apple has decided not to ship. When asked to elaborate, Jobs replied, "an Apple PDA."

Jobs said Apple is working very hard at getting the price down on the iPod. When asked when it will happen, he just smiled.

This could mean "Ain't gonna happen, this is our cash cow." Or, "We'll lower it right after you buy one."
