Okay, quick question. Just wondering what everyone else has done. I have a desktop machine with a CDR and DVD in it. I just purchased a DVD+-blah blah blah... Should I loose the CDR or the plain old DVD? Thoughts? Suggestions?

IMHO, lose the CDR. You will probably never really need to burn a CD and a DVD, or two CDs at one time (in fact it may be possible that the PC BUS/IDE controller won't be able to handle that), however, you may realistically choose to watch a DVD while buring that DVD or some other data using your DVD+-blahblah.

Thanks. It's now done. It makes sense too, now I can easily backup my kids DVD's. It will read from the plain DVD and write on the DVD+-blah.

I just wasn't sure if I would ever need to use the CDR again. I guess I can do everything with the DVD drive so why worry.
