Man.. This contest is sweeeeeeeeeeettttt! The "Thoughts" sites are the best on the net for sure. Can you tell how many times a specific user hits your sites? I am sure I am up there on that chart. ;)

Since I haven't won anything else yet, you can just go ahead and send me one of these. :D

The contest hasn't started yet. Do you mean life in general? I think I've only won two contests/giveaways ever, and those were from Microsoft's 'dog and pony; shows.

You guys really need to start the giveaway soon, or start supplying drool cups or little personal mops to clean up the drool. :)
LOL!

On another note... has anybody used any of these microdrives? Is power consumption pretty low with them?

Are you going to give things away weekly, or just let rip one day and hand everything out?

Judging from past experience, I'd say the latter.

Beside's, if they did the former, it's cruel and inhumane punishment to make us wait any longer! ;)

Oh. Well, that explains that.

You can still go ahead and send me one of these anyway.

One product per week day once we start, which should be next week - it would be an administrative nightmare to try and coordinate an all-at-once giveaway. 8O

Soon guys, soon. :way to go:

Has anyone used a microdrive in their PPC? The price is very appealing.

I used one of the original IBM 1 GB Microdrives in my Pocket PC, and it worked like a charm. Killer on the battery life though, and of course dropping your Pocket PC while the Microdrive is spinning means instant death... 8O I tend to prefer solid-state storage myself, but I love the wee hard drive concept. :-)

One user on Pocket PC Thoughts had some problems with a MagicStor drive. See the "MagicStor MicroDrive OK with PPC?" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27776) for details.

Of course, I'd still be willing to try one. :-D

I currently use a Magicstor 2.2 GB and love the space capacity it gives me but can agree with the other User that it basically runs down your PPC as you are looking at it - even when the microdrive is not actually being directly accessed. When it is directly accessed it runs the battery even further.
I'm using an ASUS A620BT PPC with a 900 battery and can get on average 2 hours from the unit when not using the microdrive, and get 7 - 9 hrs out of it without the microdrive in the unit.

So a major tradeoff between fantastic storage to mush less juice!

Wow that is a huge difference. Almost enough to not warrant using it. Still 2.2gbs.....
