In addition, Sony bit the bullet and incorporated Windows Media Center Edition 2004 into the VAIO VGC-RA810G Entertainment PC, but will still come bundled with Sony's (unimpressive) Giga Pocket™ for MPEG-2 TV encoding."

This looks like a really nice unit with the low end model starting with a 3.2 GHz P4 and Geforce FX 5200 and the high end model with a 3.6 GHz P4 and an ATI Radeon x600 Pro. The high end model also comes with PCI Express. What is even cooler is that they can be upgraded up to 1.6TB of disk space, so this unit would work fantastically as a Media Center PC.

"The good news (since most products like this are only available in Japan) is that the VGC-RA810G will start shipping to the U.S. next month and will be priced around $2,400 -- available at retail and online at www.sonystyle.com."

I hope Sony offers a slightly lower-end model for around $1,500. This looks like a kick ass system. I may upgrade to one of these luxurious PC's early next year. :shocked!:

Gorgeous. I'd like to just buy the case alone.

What's new in Media Center 2004? And what's so bad about "Giga Pocket"?
