The filtration quality is higher than that of other methods because Neat Image takes into account specific characteristics of particular image acquisition devices (digital camera, scanner, etc.), making the filtration more accurate. This is made possible on the basis of the original Neat Image concept of device noise profile."<br /><br />I haven't yet tried this product myself, but judging from the sample images posted on the company's web site, the results are amazing. My only criticism is...why would I purchase a photo tool that does just one thing? Why not simply use a full featured image editing suite like Picasa, Adobe Photoshop Elements, iPhoto, etc.? :splat:

Because it does that one thing very well?

It works as a standalone app, but if you buy the Pro+ version ($74.90)then it also works as a Photoshop plugin which is how I would prefer to use it. A little pricey for a filter though.

If any of those products could clean up 'noise' like Neat Image (or Noise Ninja (http://www.picturecode.com/)), these type products wouldn't exist. But they can't....nor can Photoshop do it as well alone.

If you're happy with the pics you're producing currently, there's no need. 'But'.......
