This device was recently released on the Telus network in Canada under the HTC S640 brand name. The updated FCC documents include new photos which unfortunately do not have any carrier branding, but the user manuals show screen shots of the Verizon Wireless VZAccess Manager application. Does this mean that the Iris is headed for the Verizon Wireless network? Let's hope that it is true and going to happen soon. Has anyone else heard anything regarding this? The other thing that amazes me is that the user manual talks about Wi-Fi, so it seems like it will not be crippled for the Verizon release. :-)</p>

Interesting - of course I'm still waiting for Verizon to issue the several phones we've seen here months ago so I'm not holding my breath on this one... Probably see it sometime next year when all of the competition has already moved on to something else...

I wouldnt read too much into the manual mentioning wifi. Remember the S720 mentioned wifi in its manual and no one has a wifi enabled S720 on their network. I knew there was a reason I should have stayed with GSM phones...the S710 would have been my ideal phone. I wanna my wifi :D
