I'm new to the forum, so perhaps this is a well-discussed topic (and I apologize... I couldn't find it here). Does anyone know why no US carriers have clamshell WM6 Smartphone phones?

AT&T discontinued the 3125 and has no replacement in that form factor and Verizon has a fuddy looking phone, but it's WM5!

Any ideas?

Well, the carriers can only sell what the OEMs produce. So the question is really why there aren't more clamshell WM devices being designed and produced? Can't answer that one. Boggles my mind too. Motorola has had remarkable success with the Razr form factor, and they certainly know how to do clamshell WM (MPX200/220) though not exceddingly well. Can't imagine them not being able to stuff WM into a Razr form. It's been done (3125).

Saldy, there's not much choice in the flip market. :( I wish there was more. But for whatever reason, the manufacturers and carriers seem to think there is more demand for messenger style devices.
