I'm really interested in gettin my hands on one of these.&nbsp; It looks like a killer design with just the right sized footprint. Doesn't that look like the biggest screen you've ever seen on a Windows Mobile standard device? I wonder how long before I can pick one up unlocked... </p>

Saw the "dummy" at our local AT&T store yesterday, and the size and design are unbelievably small, BUT

the finish is very "iffy" - the keyboard side has a lot of flex in the entire keyboard table when you hit an individual key - a lot of creaking and giving. The dialpad extension is more sturdy feeling. Overall, it is a GREAT concept, but I have some real doubts about build quality ont ehsliding mechanisms - surely teh "real thing" will feel less flimsy, right?

Dummy phones rarely use the same quality of physical parts (e.g., hinges, sliders, etc.) as the real phones. I would wait till it comes out to judge the build quality.

How does the size of the screen measure up? It looks huge.

In regards to the build quality, I agree with onlydarksets. I imagine the final product would be built better.

I didn't mean to come across as harsh. I was comparing it to my AT&T Tilt which has HTC's typical strong build quality. However, my past experience with "dummy/demo" phones has been they are basically the same shell as the release version without the radio "guts" and that's what concerned me about this one.

The screen is good sized (not as spacious as the Tilt, but far better than the Blackjack). If the build quality is up to par on the final version, this is going to be a hot phone. It is as thick as the Tilt, but "feels" like it's half-size; much like a real cell phone, not a PDA masquerading as a cell phone. The absence of WiFi, GPS, and extra memory may not sway me from the Tilt, but the size and design are much better, and the slide out dialpad is to die for (would easily trade that for the tilting screen in a heartbeat).
