However, it seems the i640 is far more than just a design-upgraded i620 since it is expected to sport features, the i620 was badly missing, including WiFi and even GPS! And it's sporting Vodafone's new Home screen implementation we have seen on the Palm Treo 500v before already."

Sweet mother of all things beautiful and small - This picture has pretty much sealed the deal for me. Just look at how small that thing is. I'm been trying to decide what device I should be replacing my aging BlackJack with, and given the size and features of the Samsung i640, I think I've found it. Let's just hope they have a quad-band version coming out on this side of the pond. This is getting closer to perfection; base n features it will be a tough call between this and the i780...

IF...

Samsung delivers. I love my Blackjack, but Sammy has the worst reputation in the business for showing lots of great designs that never appear retail or in limited markets. It would also help if they ditch the iPod white back on that beauty.

Well it's pushing a year old. That's aging in this market. ;)

Any chance that this phone might come to T-Mobile USA?

It's possible, but it wouldn't be this exact version, sicne it's only tri-band (and that's European Tri-band). IF it comes here, it would be re-released with a quad-band or North American Tri-band. I'm sure hoping that happens. Samsung did the reverse with the BlackJack. So it's possible. :D
