<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://mobile.yahoo.com/go' target='_blank'>http://mobile.yahoo.com/go</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Yahoo! Go is optimized for the “small screen” of a mobile phone, making it easy and fun to access the Internet. Everything about the Yahoo! Go interface is designed to be both visually stunning and give you what you want with the fewest clicks possible. At its core is the carousel, used to navigate intuitively among the various Yahoo! Go widgets: your own personal channels for email, local info &amp; maps, news, sports, finance, entertainment, weather, Flickr™ photos and search. Simply use the carousel to scroll over to the widget you want. Since Yahoo! Go uses advanced caching and background loading technology, your widget content is automatically and continuously “pushed” to your phone, so it’s always right there when you want it. You don’t need to endure lengthy downloads or navigate loads of links to get to what you want."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/paxton-160707-yahoogo.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />Yahoo Go was supposed to be ready for my Dash back in March, then April, then May and so on. Well here we are in July and it's finally ready. It may have been ready for the Blackjack and the Q earlier but I didn't notice. It's less than an 800K download and you can install it on your storage card. So how do I like Yahoo Go? Well, it has a cool interface. It's not the speediest program but has many features. It's a carousel based app that allows you to navigate to certain sections of Yahoo. You can check your calendar, email and address book. You can also look up news, weather, sports, finance, entertainment, and even your Flickr photos. I don't care for the map and directions section of Yahoo Go. With MS Live Search I can enter landmarks and get driving directions. I am yet to be able to do this with Yahoo Go. It's clearly a beta app so use at your own risk. I've already had to soft reset my Dash once because it froze. If you're interested you can download Yahoo Go for free by typing <a href="http://us.get.go.yahoo.com">http://us.get.go.yahoo.com</a> into your mobile phone's browser.

Sounds like not much has changed since version 1. :(

Wow, I'm really impressed! It's a slick and enjoyable interface, I can access and edit my Flickr account (more of a novelty), and it works over T-Mobile's proxy connection. Now if only I could access my Gmail through it...

I love this. maybe i can finally dump Shozu for loading up my Flickr pictures. Google should make an application like this that interfaces with Picassa, Gmail, Gtalk, Calendar and Reader ... I would pay $$ for that.

I too have been waiting for this app. I originally wanted it so I could avoid moving to hosted exchange, but the constant delays wore me down and I folded. I do like 4smartphone but for a non-power user like myself this isn’t bad and besides you can’t beat free “push” mail.

I don’t know if anybody else noticed but somewhere along the way the GPS/moving map feature was left out. That was a heartbreaker for me.

It definitely has a slick interface. I would like to see version 2.0 that would allow me to disable/hide the tabs I don't care about.

I like the flickr functionality, they have hidden a lot in there. I didn't know Options->Open flickr meant - view flickr in the Yahoo! Go application. I thought that it would open the Web page.

I have a blackjack and have been trying to DL the 2.0 version of this since the "coming soon" banner went away, but every time I try to do so, I get a message telling me that my phone is not yet supported.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen people with blackjacks posting their comments about the program.

Am I wrong in assuming that it's out for my phone now?

I have 2.0 working on my Blackjack. Just downloaded it this morning.
The interface is great. I have more digging around to do yet before I decide on how often I will actually use it.

Yahoo Go 2.0 is pretty sweet. I didnt know it was still in Beta? oh well.

i thought yahoo email would be PUSH Mail? unless I am doing something wrong, its not PUSHING at all... i cant even say if its Pulling... i think it is checking every 30 minutes.. but that would kill my battery.

I am running my DASH w/ wm6... and I am using it on Cingular/AT&amp;T. I am using MediaNet plan.

Select options, mail settings, select "on" for "Push email."

If you haven't selected to turn on the push mail you can still adjust the frequency Yahoo Go checks for mail (and syncs all other widgets) under options, general settings, connections and then click "update interval."

Something else cool is Yahoo Go! is defaulted to not sync between 10pm-6am.

More than likely, my phone is being "misread" somehow. I think I've seen my phone identified as a Tytn, whatever that is, when I've tried installing something else.

Is there any other way to get an installation cab? I've tried finding a way to query Yahoo, but havebeen unsuccessful.

Thanks

Already turned on PUSH mail... and everything else you mentioned to do and still the same.

The push function isn't working for me either. Also, what about automatic syncing with Yahoo Calendar? Doesn't seem to be working. Any tips?
