Ok,
Waaaay off topic, but I know there are a few gadget gurus lurking here
I am in need of a waterproof camcorder. Looking to use it on my dirtbike or 4 wheeler while playing in mud, dirt, water etc. Anyone got any ideas? I have seen some that have a remote lens, that is ideal. I could mount the lens on my helmet (www.helmetcamera.com).
Sanyo has a new one coming out this month (Sanyo XACTi E1) that is waterproof and takes 6MP stills. Looks very interesting.

Thanks,
~Rob

Ok, that's a little extreme for me. I can understand the desire to get the waterproofing right. So stay clear of using a plastic ziplock. ;)

Crash-proof would be good too:

Friends of mine use a Pentax Optio W20. Pentax now has the W30. It is a digital camera with a zoom lens that is fully enclosed in a waterproof housing. It will also take movies. It runs about $300 USD.
I am going to try to find one of the new Sanyo Xacti E1's this week though. It is a camcorder that will take 6MP stills. It lists at $500 USD.
