Hi

After at trip to China I found that although the abillity to acces the web via WiFi is a nice feature, it is not allways enough, especially when the hotel has free internet via a LAN-cable but no WiFi. I thus wonder if there is a way (through an adapter of course) to use a LAN to USB adapter? The phone CAN accses the web through the active-sycnc cable so it should not be impossible.

Anyone knows?

BTW, I have a HTC P3300

Most every networking company now makes a little Pocket AP/Router for just such situations.

This is D-Link's. You plug it into the hotel wired port and you get wireless in your room (and a few others). They are about the size of a deck of cards at most, plus some cables and power stuff.

Not sure why you referenced USB, unless you were thinking of a box that plugs into the ethernet cable and you plug your PPC in via the sync port. Think there were some such devices very early on for the original iPAQs, sort of networkable cradles, but I haven't seen anything since.
