Well, now there's a simple and affordable solution to this problem - SMS Exporter. I don't see any option to import, so it's not a perfect solution for those of you that change phones on a regular basis. But at least you have a means to copy your messages off your old one before you wipe it clean. ;) The developer also has a <a href="http://software.smartphonethoughts.com/product.asp?id=9282">Contact Exporter</a> application in case you don't sync with Outlook and want to copy your contacts off your phone.
