Shown beside it’s Pocket PC brother, Toshiba shows off it’s hot new Slider styled Smartphone at 3GSM. This is the first Smartphone device from Toshiba and you have to admit, it’s a great start! I think we’ve all been asking for some fresh new designs and Toshiba has certainly answered that with this device. I don’t have the exact specs at this time, but we’ll add them once we know some more. Click on the pictures to see a larger image and don’t forget to share your thoughts with us! I know that I’m very interested to see how this device stacks up. :D<a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaFront-Large.jpg"><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaFront.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> </a> <!> <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaBack-Large.jpg"><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaBack.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> </a> <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaFrontClosed-Large.JPG"><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaFrontClosed.JPG" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> </a> <a href="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaBackClosed-Large.jpg"><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20070212-ToshibaBackClosed.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> </a>

While the "Smartphone" slider is nice looking it's the "PocketPC" that is really interesting, with it's 3" W-VGA screen.

What is with the big camera ring?

I am more impressed by the Pocket PC Phone Edition. I have been waiting for one with hi-res to toss out my iPaq 2215.

What is with the big camera ring?

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I'm hoping that it's because they are using a better CCD on the camera and it needs a larger lens. It would be nice to have a good quality camera on a phone for once!
