AT&T, which took full control of Cingular when it bought BellSouth last month, saw its shares rise $1.24, or 3.5 percent, to $36.60 in morning trading on the New York Stock Exchange... Cingular said fourth-quarter profit rose to $782 million from $204 million a year ago. Revenue was up 10.2 percent to $9.8 billion."

It is always good news to here that one of the biggest US carriers of Windows Mobile devices is doing well. With all of that money though, I'm surprised there are still a large number of markets without 3G coverage. ;)

It is good to see Cingular getting more subscribers and also good numbers on the revenue. Hopefully this will translate into 3G coverage instead of Cingular -> AT&T advertisements.

No kidding. It fries me that it is still not in my area, though I am seeing the '3G' pop up on my BlackJack more and more as I roll through town.

It is definitely spreading around, just today I found it in an area not previously covered.
