HELP: How to sync only certain category of contacts?

hi,
on my PPC I am able to specify that I sync only contacts with a certain name to be synced with my device.

How can I do this on the Smartphone?

I don't think you can do that anymore with ActiveSync. It was removed a while ago. Did you upgrade your version of ActiveSync when you setup your Smartphone? I'm thinking that you'll find the Pocket PC doesn't have this feature anymore either.

The way to get around it, is to put any contacts you don't want to have synced to the phone in a folder under the contacts folder. AS will sync only contacts at the root level of the contacts folder. Anything under that will not be sync'ed.

thanks for the reply. Yes I'm on the latest build of ActiveSuck.
I found some other posts on the same matter on other sites, and it seems it was removed from ActiveSuck!

At least we have a work around, which is a pain.

Someone mentioned that "The Missing Sync" under OS X on the mac may allow you to sync categories.. but the Mac Addressbook doesnt have as complete data fields as MS Outlook.
