ActiveSync Contacts by Category?

Does anyone know a way to have ActiveSync only sync contacts within certain categories in Outlook? I want to limit the contacts that come over to the phone.

I know this can be done with other sync progarms like PocketMirror, but I don't wnat to give up ActiveSync because of the link to Exchange.

This is one of the most asked for features and sadly, it doesn't exist in ActiveSync. :(

The way I do it is by having another Contacts folder in Outlook. Basically a folder for not frequently used contacts. For me the contacts I don't need on my phone are the same contacts I don't really need to see all the time on my Desktop. If I really need them I can open that folder.

I created another Profile in Outlook so I could have my desired "Wireless" contacts be in the default Outlook folder, so that the hapless Activesync could find it. Trouble is, it locks in to one profile only, so when I go back to my main profile to synch my calendar, Activesync won't allow it.

Yes, that is the standard behaviour.
