Hi all,

Can I back my Dash up, do a hard reset then restore everything? I want to clear my XT9, I find no way otherwise. If I back everything up, will all the typos and stuff previously entered be backed up and restored as well? (lol) I'll buy it if it'll work. I see no trial version.

Thanks for any input.

That is one problem with Sprite. No trial. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee but I have heard mixed reports on a quick refund to waiting weeks for it. Hopefully someone here has tried it and can confirm for you.

I can't believe that there is only Sprite Backup. It came with my Treo 700wx, it works pretty good. I wish there was another program or at least a trial of Sprite.

I have Sprite Backup and it does the job pretty good for me. And I do not think I need a refund. But the problem is if yo backup the device with errors, after restore, you get the same error.

But you can choose not to backup some items, well, you will lose some data then.

At all if the backups are healthy, Sprite Backup will restore worries free.

Ok, thanks for the input. :-)
All I want is to reset my XT9 basically.
Hopefully a future rom update
will take care of that.

I took the plunge today and purchased Sprite Backup for my Dash. It works just like the PPC version, and it's worth the peace of mind for someone like me. I am constantly tweaking, reg-editing my devices so a good backup is worth it's weight in gold. You realize how important it is when you have to do a hard reset. I've beenrunning the Palm threaded text messaging app on my Dash for a few weeks and made a few tweaks tonight that I shouldn't have. It resulted in having to perform a hard reset, thankfully I had already ran a backup on my micro sd card as well as my pc, I was up and running in minutes. I work as a Network Specialist for the Govt. and recently we changed our backup software, the company we went with's pitch was "no one cares about backups, it's the restore". I recommend Sprite, it saved me tonight. I found a coupon code online which made it come out to $26

Sprite has saved me a few times. The partial restore feature I have found to be very useful as well.

:) Ok, the more I hear about Sprite the better it sounds, I'll have to wait a payday or two to buy it.

I'm still paying for my Dash!

Thanks guys!
