Well, according to one of our most reliable sources, T-Mobile will be offering the phone beginning sometime next month. He couldn't confirm for us whether or not it'll be called the "T-Mobile Dash" or what it might be priced at, but as soon as we know for sure we'll let you know."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/augusto-20060913-excaliburhandson.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />The choices are killing me! Next month is my contract is up with T-Mobile and while I really want to get my hands on a Cingular 3125, I equally want to get my hands on the HTC Excalibur as well. I couldn't dig up any information as far as launch prices for the Excalibur, but knowing T-Mobile, I would expect to pay a pretty penny to get your hands on one of these. :)

I'm in the same boat...my T-Mobile contract is up Oct 1st...but should I wait for the Samsung?

I'd like to see some HTC Excalibur and Samsung i-320 comparison shots. I'm thinking of going for one of those two.

If the T-Mobile contract is up Oct. 1st, does it automatically renew for another year, or can you cancel any time after that?

Oh, this is great news. I can't wait. I just have to figure out how to convince my wife that I need both this and the 3125. What's a Smartphone collection without these guys? ;)

If and when you convince your wife, let me know how you did it  There are so many new devices I want, I'm not sure what to get. If I get more than one my wife will look like this 8O And then like this  and then I will look like this  But if your tactic works I may look like this :D

...I hope

Go T-Mobile go T-Mobile :D

I wish T-Mobile would give a decent deal to their long-term customers! I've been with them for like 4 years! If I don't get a decent deal from them... I might have to cause a scene!

Same here! I still have their $39.99 for 1000 national minutes and free weekends plan.

you should never cause a scene, no matter how long you have been with a carrier. reason being, they person you are dealing with has no control over the price, especially on an upgrade. you're just going to be yelling at person that gets yelled at by tens of customers in the same boat you are in day in and day out.

take it from someone that worked the floor for more than 7 years, people that make scenes get the least amount of help. in fact, people that cause scenes usually wont get helped whatsoever due to the fact they pulled the whole "ive been with the company forever so i deserve more" mantra. its just not cool.

look at it this way, how would you feel if someone came into your place of work and started yelling at you for something you had no control over? you would get angry and upset, like a lot of cellular associates are. just go in there and try talking to them like human beings, a lot of the times they are so happy to have a customer that isn't trying to make their life miserable they are willing to break the rules a little.

remember, those people you're yelling at. they're just trying to do a job, no different than you or me. they shouldn't be punished for it, especially when they have rules to follow as well.

also, when you sign a contract or resign a contract, you are already getting a deal. usually it is $100-$150 off the retail price of the phone. have you ever tried buying a Smartphone without a contract from a carrier? it is going to run you somewhere around $400. With a contract, $299-$250. you're already getting a pretty big deal on an upgrade and this is because you have been a customer for so long ;)

It will be sold under the HTC brand as the S620 (http://www.europe.htc.com/products/htcs620.html).

It isn't available yet, expect it to be in the next few weeks, sooner than later. :D
