Take a look at GPSDash. (http://wimobi.com/gpsdash/news.sph2.php) I have used it and it works well. The only thing I didn't like was its tied to your ROM. Every time I did a flash I had to get a new reg code.

Mapopolis has a Smartphone version that works pretty well.

ha - yeah its a program. supposedly one of the best mapping/directions/GPS for the SmartPhone... I've done some preliminary research and trying to decide between CoPilot Live and Route 66...

Though I dont own it yet...I like CoPilot for it's LIVE features. People can track you online.

I use a Socket Bluetooth GPS. Seems to work fine.

I tried the CoPilot Live about a year ago. Was majorly disappointed with it and used their money back refund. I wrote a mini review here about the Dec 2005/Jan 2006 timeframe. It was pricey (~$200 USD). I really wanted to like it, but couldn't get past the maps being inaccurate in my area. If they used the Navteq database, I might still have it.
I have been using Mapopolis and it has been great. I use a Syson Smart Blue Mini BT GPS with my 5600.
