According to the website, the SPJAS is a Tri-band device supporting the 900/1800/1900 range and UMTS on 2100 MHz. If the frequency works for you, then this device could be a powerful device to own. It sports a 300MHz processor and 128MB ROM/64MB RAM. For me, I can't get buy the looks. It's not the prettiest phone that HTC has produced, that's for sure.

That's pretty shallow isn't it

Just kidding, I also think about aesthetics when I make a purchase, but function usually over-rides form for me.

Well, if I'm dropping this kind of coin on a phone, I want it to look good. 8)

I'm just waiting for the SPAZ to come out before I upgrade from my SP5m. I'm guessing the SPAZ will be a bi-mode 700/1200mhz featuring EVDoh for data.

The way some languages handle the letter j, this could be called the I-Mate Spaz. ;)

I do like its looks myself. No silly media buttons either. :P

Yeah those media buttons on previous devices like the SP5m were so useless. I mean they didn't even work unless WMP was displayed, and then the d-pad could do everything

Yet some Smartphone makers insist in putting the damn buttons on some models. Why I ask?

Ok, I had to look at this a little first before I saw what you did. I like the new i-mate Spaz Smartphone. The dialpad order is particularly interesting.

What scares me is I didn't notice at all until now! 8O

The screen on older Pocket PCs had a tendency to flip. There's still hope for this one!

Overall the good news is that i-mate has the specs right. Also noticed that HTC has now updated the European Web site.
