Using the SanDisk microSD card, the Verizon Wireless phone can store up to 1,000 digital songs downloaded from the company’s V CAST music service. The card, which is sold with an adapter that enables it to fit into a standard-size SD ™ slot of other devices, will debut in the U.S. exclusively at 1,900 Verizon Wireless stores for the next 60 days. Internationally, it will be sold by a variety of mobile retailers.”</i><br /><br />Two full Gigabytes - That's huge. Well, it's small in size, but huge in capacity. These are not available just yet, but and the estimates $100 price tag is pretty reasonable when you consider the price of the SanDisk 1GB MicroSD card currently $40 on <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?link_code=ur2&tag=smartphonetho-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB000EEZCEG%2Fsr%3D8-1%2Fqid%3D1154093107%2Fref%3Dpd_bbs_1%3Fie%3DUTF8">Amazon.</a><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20060802-microsdconvertor.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />On another note, I picked up this handy microSD to miniSD to SD converter off <a href="http://stores.ebay.com/flashmemory-taiwan">eBay</a> a couple weeks back. It just arrived the other day and now I'm ready to get a microSD card and use it for whatever phone I buy next, regardless of it's supported memory type.

I am digging that adapter alot...

Watch what you say Mike, that last comment is just begging for some company to come out with yet another memory card format and screw up the whole process...

Like that adapter. Wish I would have stumbled upon it yesterday as I had to order a replacement miniSD as the SanDisk I've been using for 7 months has failed. I know the future is micro so I could have saved myself a little coin.

Oh well.

 Sorry about that. This has been sitting in my inbox for a couple days, but with all the big news we've been posting, I never got it out until now. :)

I'm glad everyone likes the adapter. I have to give full credit to aximilation. He pointed it out to me a couple weeks ago in this thread. (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=74655#74655)

They even tossed in a USB SD memory card reader. So with the adpater combo and the memory card reader, I have everything in one small handy package. 8)

Hello, I got this adapter recently and was just wondering if it works for anyone using it to read a microSD card in a normal SD card slot on a pocket pc. My O2 XDA IIs doesnt recognise the 2GB microSD card when using this adapter but my computer does. Thanks
