I have read a bunch of posts talking about Clear Type and how great it is, but what is it, and how do I activate it on a SmartFlip/QT8500.

I think you will need the utility like Tweak2K to do it.

ClearType on the Smartphones has caused more problems then benefit. I don't think the new ones have it turned on, for a good reason. ;-)

What kind of problems?

I don't know what Kris is referring to, but Cleartype makes my eyes hurt. It's too fuzzy.

I like it. I haven't noticed any problems though.

It used to hurt my eyes on the i-mate SP3i.

But I haven't had to worry about the font on my 2125 with QVGA resolution. Also the font doesnt seem fuzzy to me. I have never worried about finding out if ClearType is enabled or not. I am assuming that it is not turned on.

Are you saying it is?

hmm...that's a good point - I don't know that I've ever turned it on for my 2125 - only my 5600.
