HTC just recentely changed their brandname Qtek to HTC. This is the first 3G Smartphone that HTC will be releasing. The phone has a built in 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 but unfortunately there is no WiFi on board. The processor is a 300Mhz Samsung CPU and the memmory consists of 128MB ROM and 64MB RAM. Check out the video to find out what our reporter thinks of this phone."</i><br /><br /> <img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Kris-Jul06-MTeoR.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Pocketinfo.tv has put together a nice video review of the first 3G Smartphone from HTC, the MTeoR. This unit has a 300Mhz processor, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0, Tri-band UMTS/3G and Quad-band EDGE. Check out the professional quality video review for more information. I wish that the camera had focused more on the Smartphone instead of the reporter during the video review. ;-)

How come this MTeoR doesn't look the same as what had been advertised on HTC website? This device is pure black, I thought it suppose to have like a silver on the sides.

I'm not too sure about the "two-function" button. It seems like it's very easy to press the wrong key.

For example: The "End-call" and "Backspace" buttons are on top of each other. I can see if you're on a call and you need to check other information and you made a mistake and you need to you back. Pressing the "Backspace" key and you may accidentally press the "End-Call" button....ops just ended my call. This would be a problem with people with big hands also.

For the price it's asking (around $600) I also wish HTC included Wi-Fi. :( (hope HTC is listening as others coming out with Wi-Fi included). HTC should have noticed this long time ago.

Even without this , I'm still excited to get my hands on this device. :D

Regards,
Robert

Good point. I somehow like this version better. All black, non-glossy metallic finish.

Just like the presenter/reviewer, I am also concerned about it too.

Also did you notice that the unit has no dedicated headphone socket. The headset requires special USB connector.
