Photo Contacts PRO enhances Smartphone devices by integrating Call Filtering and Distinctive Ringtone functionality coupled with a best in class user interface that lets users browse contacts with pictures and enables Business Photo Caller ID."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/augusto-2006.06.28-pocketx.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />Look at the size of that contact image! I have no idea what Microsoft was thinking when they integrated those tiny contact images into WM5. Picking up where Microsoft left off though, Photo Contacts PRO looks very promising. With its ability to filter calls, block numbers from unwanted callers and assign ringtones to category instead of a single contact this could be that one must have piece of software that every user dreams of :)

A few more ? ;)

It looks pretty nice. From what I can gather it doesn't use the Outlook contact picture, right? I saw the mention of SmartName and it looks like a create way to assign pictures. (You just name the picture the same name as the contact and PhotoContacts will automatically match it up) Can you drop the images anywhere on your device, like the Storage card? or do they have to be in a specific folder?

I don't know about anyone else, but until I have a Smartphone with more memory, I don't want sync contact photos of this size to my phone.

The small ones are bad enough....

On the same note, does this app allow for you to store the images on a memory card?

Yes I believe it does. The way the "SmartName" works is that you name the picture of the person (has to match exactly "first last" as I recall) and then their app links to that picture in the folder you designate. As I recall this can be in a user specified folder including the memory card.

Outlook pictures are re-sampled and limited in size to 72x72 (or 72x96) pixels maximum which is too small for Full Screen and Business Photo Caller ID.
With Photo Contacts PRO you can drop the pictures anywhere you want and use larger images. A 150x150 pixel JPG image is between 5-7KB in size which is not too bad even if you store a 100 of them in internal memory.
