I have used several "Smartphones", but just have not gotten what I wanted from them. They were all really the same in functionality and lack of an input method I can use. I really liked the "regular" phone style of the Motorola MPx220, but I just couldn't get used to the T9 input. The same goes for the Audiovox SMT 5600 and the Cingular 2125 / Tmobile SDA. I just can't use these as more than just a phone! After using the Q now for a while, I have some mixed feelings."

Fellow MVP, Chris Leckness, has started a Q diary covering his experiences with the new Motorola Q. Overall, it looks like Chris is liking his new Q despite the poor battery and lack of touchscreen. All you Pocket PC guys are the same, eh? You just have to put those grubby little fingers on the screen. ;)

On another Q note, Mobile Tech Review has published a review of the Q. The Q received a 4.5 out of 5 star rating from the editor. It looks like it lost a couple points for the lack of AKU2 and its plastic feel. The real verdict on this thing won't be in until I get my hands on one. How about it Moto? Scared?
