There is no right softkey menu in an open task on wm5 smartphone. How do you edit Outlook tasks, or change the task category, due dates, etc... Let me guess, you must buy a third party application to do this? Any good ones out there, or better yet...any free ones?

I use Papyrus. It's an excellent calendar replacement that even has support for Tasks. You can find a copy here (http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=1085) I've been using Papyrus for so long, I can't recall what it was like without it.

I agree with Mike, Papyrus (http://www.sbsh.net/products/papyrus/) is a geat product and has a pretty good editor for tasks and calendar entries.

Unfortunately, like Mike, I don't recall how tasks worked before I started using Papyrus (http://www.sbsh.net/products/papyrus/) and I was unable to figure out how to disable it in order to access raw tasks so I can't help with how they are edited without the use of a third party program.

Surprised that it would not be possible. Even more surprised that there is not another user of these forums who does not use Papyrus (http://www.sbsh.net/products/papyrus/) who has not jumped in to offer a suggestion or confirmation.

Just one of it's many deficiencies is the inability to edit a task.

I use Oxios ToDo List and find it to be excellent.

there is a right menu software somewheres... i have the trial version (which has a nag screen). the trial version serves it's purpose, as least for me (it's like a cascading start menu button where you can put in shortcuts of any exe file in your smartphone). oxios and papyrus, as well as some other plugins are great for alternatives, but i'm not that busy a man ^_^

Yes it is... that's why I use SmartTasks from www.developerone.com.

Correction...."PowerTasks" not SmartTasks...

You can also use eXtreme Agenda (http://www.birdsoft.biz/exagenda.htm) to edit and manipulate tasks.... Another alternative to explore...

Thanks

I use Oxios mostly, sometimes Papyrus if I happen to be in it at the moment.
