This information is entirely unconfirmed, and we don't know much about what we're about to tell you -- some of these code names are as new to us as they are to you -- but we can tell you it comes from a reliable source. ... Looking to steal some of the Q's thunder, the "Excalibur" will be getting its QWERTY on and running Smartphone. Finally, look for "Vera" as a possible successor to the Star Trek, packing HSDPA and a front-facing camera for video calling."

Not sure about the source for this news article over at Engadget Mobile but it sounds awesome. I am very happy to hear that the Excalibur project is still alive and kicking. Our readers might remember that earlier in the year Mobile-review.com had suggested that the project has been cancelled. The HTC Excalibur will most likely be a GSM device and if HTC can get it released in next few months, then it will fill the big gap left by the CDMA based Moto Q. :)

That does sound pretty nice. However, I'm not sure that we'll see much more product before the end of the year. If the typical cycle holds true. Maybe a couple more phones, but I wouldn't expect anything earth shattering. An HTC Q-like phone would be really nice. I've got my fingers crossed for that, but I'm not holding my breath. ;)
