Spectec WiFi mini-SD and Audiovox SMT5600?

Has anyone successfully used this mini-SD 802.11b card with the Audiovox SMT5600 or it's other-branded incarnations?

There was a great amount of talk when it was released - until it was determined that it won't fit. The Spectec card is longer than the standard miniSD card and won't fit in the space provided on the SMT5600. You might be able to cut away some of the plastic and hopefully you won't damage anything underneath. Even if you managed to hack the case and get the card to fit, I don't think they ever released WM2003SE drivers for the Smartphone. I might be wrong on that.

Even if you cut out your chassis to make it fit, the Mini SD slot is NOT SDIO on the Typhoon. I think this subject, plus using the Typhoon as an infrared remote TV control, are the two most discussed missing features, notwithstanding WiFi that is.
