<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.oxios.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.oxios.com/</a><br /><br /></div>"Oxios ToDo List provides an easy-to-use and powerful interface for managing your Tasks. It was optimized specially for Smartphone in order to have the fastest and the most synthetic view of your tasks on a very small screen. You create, fully edit and modify tasks just like in Outlook.<br />The set of standard views, categories filters and accelerators give you the ability to quickly navigate in the list. You also can customize the display, so your most important tasks stand out. Just try Oxios ToDo List and forget the ugly built-in Smartphone Tasks program."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Jerry-oxios_todo_list.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />One of my favorite little applications just got upgraded for WM5. If you haven't tried this out now is a good time. It will now support all those strange screen shapes too. Put it on your ToDo list.

How does this compare to Listpro?

I won listpro here on SPT and use it extensively. I received the SP and Desktop versions then bought the PPC version. All stay in sync and all have nice interfaces.

Now my wife's Honeydo list for me is always updated (wooo hoo :( ) - all she does is update the desktop and when I sync I see I get to paint the garage next weekend! :x

Bwah ha ha ha!! So, what colour is the garage going to be? ;)

The Outside of the house is all done. The inside of the garage is all plain brown/ tan and dark. She is picking "something bright".

I hope its not green or something funky, but of course, I have no say on decorations except "yes dear"! I'm also putting new lights over the work area. The place is like a dungeon.

This is one of the worst offenses of straying off topic I have ever seen! From a task program to garage painting?? What is this world coming to??

Well then, answer my original question! Listpro vs Oxios.

It's all your fault, I'm telling mom.

does she have a "honeydo" list as well? if so next time she syncs you can have it say "no, YOU paint the garage" :)

In a desperate attempt to get this back on track... I've never tried ListPro!

You aren't married for 21 years, are you? :rotfl:

attempt at return to topic

I really like Listpro - very flexible and syncs via AS file sync. Oxios from the look of it just reformats WM Tasks and thus syncs via task - very simple and nice. I guess I want more bells and whistles, thats all.

HEY! He *point at Temporale* started it! Now he's sitting back all innocent like!

I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything! MOM!! JERRY'S PICKING ON ME!

And, I attempted to return to topic. They are two different solutions to the same thing. Listpro is more flexible but more expensive (well, for those that didn't win it). I'll stick with Listpro - but I do use Oxios Hibernate/memory tool - darn MPX220 won't release a thing - it's memory is always constipated and the Oxios memory loosens things up. Oops off topic again :( nevermind.............

Ok I have just tried ListPro. While it is a bit more sophisticated than Oxios it will not sync with Outlook tasks, which makes sense considering it is a different program altogether. It also uses File Sync which some may already know does not work on Smartphones. So if you are using the Pro version you have to drag your list file(s) over. Not a big deal really. So, I like ListPro but with 4 devices (Desktop, Laptop, Smartphone, PocketPC) it becomes a bit of a chore to keep things all on the same page.

I've never used Oxios so I can't really say. Sorry.

Now, I did use their memory tool in the past, but I haven't seen the need for it in WinMO5.

Like Jerry said, biggest advantage of ToDoList is the syn capabailities. List Pro files needs to be copied to smartphone. Another thing to consider is Oxios Today Plug in (freeware) which allows tasks to be displayed on the homescreen. However, Today Plug in is not compatable (yet) for WM5. If someone is interested in displaying tasks on the HS, I would pick a combo of Facade and Papyrus. So to keep this topic going off the subject again, I would say List Pro is better choice. :D

Hey Guys, ListPro does have a Sync Engine just like eWallet. You shouldn't have to manually copy those files back and forth. Should I do a review and detial this for everyone? ;)

Jerry Raia

Mike, I think that only works with the PPC version.

edgar
04-19-2006, 12:44 AM
It syncs from my desktop to my PPC via AS file sync.

However, (this is difficult to say) - Jerry is right. I manually copy to my SP

From the Listpro manual

If you have ListPro on your Microsoft® Windows® Powered Smartphone you can share your ListPro files between your Windows PC and your mobile device. Unlike other Windows Powered devices, however, Smartphones currently do not support File Synchronization, so you can't use ActiveSync File Synchronization to automatically synchronize these files.

To share ListPro files with your Smartphone, you must manually copy the files between your Windows PC and your Smartphone. To do this, choose Explore from the ActiveSync window to open the Mobile Device window. Then open Windows Explorer in another window and locate the folder where you keep your ListPro files.

Oh my that was hard to do - bask in the limelight Jerry!

Interesting... That's not the information I've been given. But I checked out the version available on their site, and you're right it doesn't do Sync. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned anything...

Just to make sure this Thread stays completely off track from Oxios....

I found a third party file sync for Smartphones, perhaps it does what we need - haven't thumped on it to try yet.

Rubber Stamped Data Sync 2.1.1
by RubberStampedData | www.rubberstampeddata.com
Commercial $11.95

Summary: Rubber Stamped Data Sync is an application designed to synchronize files and folders of any type to and from an MS Smartphone device.

It looks to allow for multiple directories - and has a "favorites" function, but that part doesnt look like its for SP's
