My goal is good microphone performance, even in a vehicle, so others can hear me w/o my voice fading in and out from their perspective.

I am trying to find an excellent, "I can't tell you're using a headset" Bluetooth set that will work w/ Cingular 2125 for about $125 or under, although I would also appreciate money-is-no-object suggestions.

Appreciate any advice on what to look for/avoid...

I use the Jabra v250 with my 2125. I'm am happy with it. I think it is ~$100 USD these days.

Thanks -- looks a bit large but if the sound quality works I would be happy w/ the tradeoff. $100 is fine and I found the 250v on the Nextel accessories site (Cingular does not list the model; my understanding is that I could buy it at Nextel b/c Bluetooth is Bluetooth)

I take it you have not experienced any "crackling" (like an old radio) -- I got that on the Logitech one I tried...

No none at all.

I'm using the Bluespoon AX. It's about the smallest (reasonable priced) one on the market. It's pretty good, but my wife can tell if I'm walking around using it versus in the car. It seems to pick up a lot of wind noise.

I am using the Plantronics Discovery640 here but am new to the 2125 and to the BT so can not offer any comparison except to wired headsets on Motorola (Nextel) phones. I am sure after a few weeks of business conference calls, I'll hear if it is good or bad.

I'm using the Motorola H500. Singular has them with a $30 rebate. Works good so far.

I just got the Jabra JX10. So far one person on a cell phone said they couldn't tell I was using a headset. A person on a land line told me I sounded bad. The verdict is unclear.

Cingular has a $30.00USD mail-in-rebate for the Motorola H500, HS815 and the HS820. Offer ends April 3, 2006.

I personally use the Motorola H700 bluetooth headset. It's a nice little headset. One of the better ones that I have used throughout the years.
