Can you turn off the phone portion of the smartphone, leaving WM5 running? Also, is there any other way to power off the unit besides that tiny button?

Yup, just put the phone into Flight mode. Press and release the power button and you should see a quick list menu. Select Flight Mode On and you're set.

Hrm, nope - don't think so. As some have mentioned around here. Don't try and push the button. Instead, try and slide it. Sounds silly, but I've seen some posts on it around here. :)
