The effort demonstrates interoperability amongst several active members in the MobileIGNITE industry association to accelerate the market for FMC applications. In the demonstration, a user with a dual-mode (cellular and Wi-Fi) smartphone can seamlessly roam between mobile and VoIP when entering into a hot spot. Handsets that have automatically authenticated to the hot spot will be able to use the connection for VoIP or other applications on Wi-Fi."</i><br /><br />This is very cool technology. I wonder how much longer before we see seamless roaming between the carriers network and a WiFi on every device? With the explosion of WiFi and the ever increasing power of our Smartphones, it can't possibly be much longer. :D
