You get to network with Microsoft employees, your peers and MVPs; you get to play with upcoming devices and participate in hands on labs. This year MEDC will have a Code Porting and Testing Lab, where you can test your current application on the newest devices and in case you get stuck, Microsoft will help you out. Anyone planning on going from this community? I'm not - I can't develop at all - but I've heard really good things from people who have attended in the past.

I'm toying with the idea of attending. Based on what we've seen come out of MEDC over the last 2 years, I'm sure this one won't disappoint.
