Hey guys. I can't get ActiveSync to work. Anyone else have that issue with the 2125. Can ActiveSync not handle more than 2 partnerships? I wanted to keep my 5600 partnership and I've alwas had a PPC partnership.

All it does is sit there and spin but never syncs.

I believe it can only handle two partnerships.

I'm pretty sure it can handle more than 2 partnerships. At least, I hope it can.

Have you installed AS 4.1? Make sure the connection method you are attempting to us it turned on too.

Or am I thinking about the phone itself. I'm confused.

ActiveSync can handle multiple partnerships. And also WM 2003 SE and WM 5.0 devices.

I did notice that ActiveSync 4.1 is not as good as the 3.8.

Also ActiveSync uses TCP/IP network stack to talk to the device in case of the WM 5.0 devices and 4.1. Which means that Norton Internet Security, Firewall, VPN software, anything do with networking will cause trouble. On my laptop, AS is flaky.

Ocassionally, I have to go into Device Manager->Networks->And delete the WM5.0 device listed in there. Note, the WM 5.0 device will be visible only when the device is connected to the computer. So try deleting the device from the device manager and then reconnecting the device. And see what happens.

I'm pretty sure the versions before 4.x could only accommodate 2 partnerships.

Are you talking about the desktop version? I had (and have) more than 2 partnerships on the desktop AS. One Pocket PC. One MPx220. One SP3i. And now 2125 also.

The Smartphone or Pocket PC can handle only two desktop connections or partnerships.

Damn now I'm all mixed up. I have always had 2 devices and the PC and the laptop. I'll just leave this thread as I found it.
