Hi,

FWIW, I managed to run Skype beta on my mobile phone. Posted a short review on my blog http://headworx.blogspot.com/.

Using Pocket Controller to get past the touch screen requirement was pretty ingenious. 8)

Actually, I was surprised it "clicked" :D

That too. But thinking of using the Pocket Controller is definitely cool.

Just a thought, but could you take a look in the registry and see in what keys the Skype login credentials are stored? Maybe, just maybe, others could copy over Skype.exe, create the registry keys, and it would sign in automatically, without the need for Pocket Controller.

Very cool though. :) A little disappointing that it doesn't work well over EDGE, but that's to be expected.

Very, very cool. It might not be useable - yet, but it's nice to see that it's possible.

Well... can be done... but how do you look in the registry? I've tried several regedit apps and none of them installed on the WM5 spartphone, claiming incompatibilities...

Smartione works. It is a PC based registry editor.

Kris, thank you for the hint. I searched through the registry, but the only refrences to Skype was the HKLM\Software\Apps\Skype... with an InstallDir key. I've no clue where they keep the credentials.

On the other hand one you use the trial version of Soti Pocket Controller - all you need is just one "tap". Soti PC is a great application and chances are you will decide to keep it after the trial expires...

I'm using regeditSTG.exe; works great; I usd it to add keys to allow page up/down in PIE. Have you tried it?

Yest it does work indeed - thanks for the tip. But I still cannot find Skype login credentials in the registry :(
