Besides the Bluetooth A2DP for stereo wireless transmission and the Bluetooth HSP/HFP for handsfree communication, the i-PHONO mini headphone also supports Bluetooth AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile), meaning consumes can use the i-PHONO mini headphone remote control (ex. Play, Pause, Next, Previous...) media device if the paired source also supports AVRCP."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Jerry-bluetake.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />I am fascinated by the remote control aspect of this. Does anyone have any experience with AVRCP? I really like the idea of wireless stereo earphones. Most of the time when I'm listening to music I'm at the gym and the wires are always in the way.

cool.

But I don't like the cable. They would be much cooler if the two pices where completely calbe free.

Yea but then the two halves would have communicate wirelessly directly through your head. For some of us that is too thick ;)

Not sure about that new AVRCP thing but A2DP allows me to start and stop the Media Player and next/previous on the tracks. The volume can be lowered and increased but that appears to be done in the headset as the volume slider on the PPC doesn't move.

This is with the HP BT stereo headphones on both an rx 3715 and the x50V using HPs software on the PPCs. The Motorola HT820 also can control the 3715, but I haven't tried it on the Dell, though I see no reason it wouldn't work. Both Headsets also control Media Player on my Media Center PC equiped with a BlueTake USB BT dongle. (it comes with every profile under the sun). Neither of the headphones mention AVRCP so it must be the A2DP profile doing the control.

I should note that I could probably pull the connecting cable out of the Motorola head band (behind the neck) cut the band off, and I'd have something like these i-phonos. The HPs have an obvious connecting cable too. The Motorola's inscidentally have headset/handsfree as well as the A2DP and have a mic, the HPs seem to be just A2DP.

Fair enough, but it would make them that much cooler.
