I have seen Voyager photos from Jupiter that look clearer, but I digress. Head over there and give this a try because it does look like it might be fun. There is a free account and a pro account for $29.95 a year.

I downloaded it yesterday and installed it. It works really well.

One could just email their pics to more popular services like TextAmerica or Flickr, but the cool thing about this service is that the software lets you view other photo blogs right from your phone. In a nice organized way.

That said, this and most other services also offer RSS feeds of Photo Blogs. You could use Newsbreak or another RSS reader to keep track of friends blogs on your phone, being notified whenever a new pic is uploaded.

So there isn't much that this has over the competition.

If camera phone photo quality isnt your thing, you could upload higher res pics from your PC. But the other services allow you to do that as well.

So is there a benefit to using this over the others? Eh. I dont know.

It is a nice little app though and works on almost any platform which is cool.

i actually just met ray from splash data today. he came in to buy some accessories from me and saw my 5600 sitting on my desk and he told me he developed mobile device apps and that that sparked a conversation about how im a cell phone salesman during the day and a smartphone obsesser by night . we talked for a little bit about this software because i had SPT up and was reading this exact article (SPT is always up where i work btw ;)). he was amazed that the article was picked up by smartphone thoughts and then we started talking about geeky nerd stuff :)

according to ray they are about to redo the pay service and free service that is offered. instead of 100 pics for the free service it will now be 1000. dunno when it will be implimented but he's a REALLY nice guy so i suggest checking out his software.

I have been using it a day or so and coaxed two Treo user fiends of mine to use it. It's pretty cool.

8O Very cool! I don't know why, but it always amazes me to see the reach of this site. You would think that by now, this type of thing would be "old hat". But it isn't and I still love to hear stories like this.

Oh, and special kudo's to optikalsaint for having SPT open all the time!
