One of the places Outlook really needs improvement is the bloated PST storage file where all that data collects. PSTCompactor helps shrink your PST file by as much as 38%, optimizing in areas where Microsoft hasn't managed to fix some glaring issues. Compress attachments, force compacting of data and permanently eliminate deleted messages and information. By keeping your PST file clean, mail data is less prone to corruption and failure. The home edition is limited to compacting 5 PST files. Compatible with Outlook 98, 2k, XP and 2003. [Windows 2k/XP $24.95]."</i><br /><br />Since the vast majority of Pocket PC and Smartphone owners use Outlook, this utility might come in handy if you have a large PST file and want to shrink it down.

Isn't the .pst file limited to 2GB? I remember that from someplace. If true this could be very handy!

Older versions of Outlook, but not Outlook 2003. My main PST file is about 450MB. So it's not too bad. It still fits on one CD. ;) If I cleaned out my inbox - don't laugh  , then I'm sure it would be down to something a little more reasonable. :)

I sync with an exchange server so I use a .ost file for offline and then use a .pst for backups folders. My .pst is only about 80mb right now.
