Share the love, man! Announcing the public beta of <a href="http://gada.be/">http://gada.be/</a> (yes, that's .be). This is a metasearch service with a few unique features, no matter where or how you view it. gada.be is for anybody with access to the Web and in need of immediate, impartial results. You're going to save time and bandwidth immediately; imagine how long it would take to traverse all those sites just to find the one thing you were looking for!? If you tend to view only the top results for a cursory search, why not just feed you the top results in one easy spot (where you can subsequently subscribe to them)?"</i><br /><br />Clever idea here. The search terms are part of the url you are typing in. The idea being to minimize the amount of typing on a small keyboard or phone dial pad. I tried a few searches and it was a bit slow but the results were interesting. It is worth a look.

I like that it compiles the top results from all the search engines. 8)

Chris has come up with a neat idea here, but he must be getting hammered with traffic because I just tried to use it and it took 20+ seconds to spit back some results. :?

I like the idea too, but I think it would be better if your search terms where at the end of the url. At least then it would be easier to bookmark the search engine, and all you would have to do is enter your terms. Right now, if you bookmark it, you would have to pull up the bookmark and then scroll all the way to the left and insert your search terms. It's a little more painful. :?

Overall, nice job. I like the idea. :)

I talked to Chris, and he pointed out that the root page:

http://gada.be/

Has a search box. :-)

Ha! I guess it would help to actually visit the site without doing a URL search, eh? Cool.
