Please don't say we pre-emptively copied Google."</i><br /><br />This may be as off-topic as off-topic can be, but I thought Joshua's post brings up some very good points and besides, it's Friday. ;) In all seriousness, I think Joshua's post on his blog, <a href="http://www.netcrucible.com/blog/default.aspx">Better Living Through Software,</a> is bang on the money - Microsoft needs Google just as it needs Symbian. Give the article a read, and let me know what you think.

Another reason: Google Reader (http://google.com/reader)
