It is expected to be an unlocked version, which means you can easily use the device on your GSM network of choice. There are no specs listed, so we can't confirm what version of Windows Mobile it will have installed. I would expect the Push email stuff will already be loaded onto the device. If not, you'll have to flash it at least once after the update is released. :( If this is a must have device for you, then you might want to put your name on the list now!

Much as I want one of these I'm gonna wait till I can pick one up at Cingular. I need a place I can walk back into and rant (or return) if it doesn't *ahem* work too well.

This thing is still a while away from being released, so that price is very speculative...I'd wait on it.

That's another thing. I'm sure it will fall more into the $500 range when it is released.

I'm not so sure about that. We saw a report not too long ago, that had this hitting the streets before the end of the year.

I just contacted someone at Moto's PR group and he confirmed that Q1 2006 is the release date.

Well, on the bright side, it gives me a little more time to save up, and decide if I like the SP5m or not. :D

I think I would want to own both the Moto Q and the i-mate SP5. :-) One for work and one for play. ;-)

I'm thinking Q and something else. Not sure what the something else will be yet. 8)

If one fell in my lap then maybe I'd use it. I'd rather get one of the new HTC Smartphones or the Mitac PPCPE.

I still don't think that Motorola are capable of producing a competent phone. :)

In the past they were one of the best. I'm hoping they still want to be and this thing turns out to be good.
