I was in shock. When I asked him how he did it he laughed and said he was actually just hanging up the phone with his girlfriend and she buzzed the door. I immediately realized what I had to do. I had to figure out a way for my cell phone to buzz open my front door."

Engadget special contributor Chris Turek has written a cool how-to article for setting up a keyless entry system to your house using your cellphone. Ever since I moved into my new home, I have wanted to setup a cellphone based remote for my garage door. Even though the how-to article will work in my case, I think it's a little too complicated for me to setup. I will wait for a simple X10 based solution. ;-)

I had something like this set up on my old apt. When someone buzzed me, it would call to my cell phone. So no matter where in the world I was, I could buzz them in. So I just pushed the button and when my phone rang I pushed another button to get in. Although the not needing to push the button thing would be nice.
