It seems to take a bit of time to login to their server and then I get "page unavailable" errors. Anyone else want to give this a shot? Not too impressive so far.

Just checked the server status and it looks fine... Can you be more specific? Where you trying to login to MobileLeap, or a remote site?

To mobileleap itself. Just hangs for a while then might connect or just say page not available.

Jerry -- I just re-checked both with T-Mobile GPRS and on Desktop -- everything seems to be in order? The server reports show thousands of successful page conversions today.

Could it just be your network connection?

I hope that you are able to check it out again, as there are some pretty cool features that are unique to MobileLeap.

Its possible, I can get elsewhere with no trouble though but I'll try it again. :)

It works fine for me. Seems to be pretty fast. Is there anyway to formulate a URL to allow us to pass in our intended destination? This would be especially handy for those of us using a Smartphone. It's not like we can easily tap in the URL or anything. I'm thinking of something like mobileleap.net/v2?d=www.smartphonethougts.com This would mean we could bookmark the URL and save a little T9'ing. :)

I tried v2 a couple of weeks ago and only had one period of server downtime. Every other experience, it's worked great and it's been blazingly fast. :)

Hi Mike -- Yup, there several ways to bookmark in v2, including URL formulation.

* Any of the following URL formats will work:
http://mobileleap.net/v2/www.smartphonethoughts.com

or (for URL-encoded addresses):

http://mobileleap.net/v2/get?url=www.smartphonethoughts.com

or you can use va as an alias for v2 to avoid aaaa 2:

http://mobileleap.net/va/google.com

* Enable URL history tracking, and all "typed" URLs (those actually keyed into the input box) will be remembered and available on the main page. settings->advanced->history.

* Import bookmarks from your Desktop IE/Firefox/etc. (first export as a Netscape bookmark file, then upload to MobileLeap). This feature is in the final testing phase, currently under settings->advanced->[edit bookmarks].

If there are any other ways to streamline the process for SP users, please let me know! Thanks. :D
