SP3i current maximum miniSD card capacity? 1Gb or 512Mb?

I saw posts that says somebody tried 1Gb miniSD into their SMT 5600 and worked but I couldn't find any reference as to what is the max capacity they can put in an SP3i.

Can anybody confirm if a 1Gb miniSD card can work with SP3i?

It will work.

The manufacturer can only test the largest memoty card on the market when the phone is released. They won't agree that anything else works in case the format or something changes. In the case of 1GB miniSD, you're fine, since the format is the same as the 512 MB version.

So, go ahead and buy a 1GB card and enjoy every byte of it. ;)

Thanks Mike for the assurance. I'd figured about that but you know how it is to do some kind of purchase like this... it'll be my only device that will use a miniSD so if this doesn't work, either I return it back or buy an miniSD-to-SD adapter so I can use it somewhere else.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, it should (most do) come with a miniSD to SD adapter. ;)
