<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://portal.bryanrobson.net/' target='_blank'>http://portal.bryanrobson.net/</a><br /><br /></div>The other day Ed Hansberry from our sister site <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com">Pocket PC Thoughts,</a> posted about his latest Pocket PC puzzle addiction - a game called <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,41825">SuDoKu.</a> Now, I have to admit that I am very intrigued by this game, but I didn't want to pull my Pocket PC out of retirement just to try out this puzzle. So, with a quick Google search, I found a post on <a href="http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news1595.html">CoolSmartphone.com</a> about a free Smartphone version of SuDoKu. :D<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050728-SmartSudoKu.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />SmartSuDoKu is still in early beta and requires the .Net Compact Framework to run. You can learn more, or download a copy at the developers (Bryan Robson) <a href="http://portal.bryanrobson.net/">website.</a> I've got my copy and I'm about to install. It's time to see what all the fuss is about. :D

I'm using Smartphone SuDoKu (Version 1.1) from KickingSoftware. It works ok - I wish it had some of the features I've tried on pocket PC versions ( marking cells with possible #'s, colored cells....). The "check" function is also week - it only checks the cell the cursor is on, not the whole puzzle, so when you get to the end, and it doesn't finish, you have to manually check the puzzle, or go to each cell and hit check.. a real pain.

Oh well, only $10 US at handango.

This is one adicting game.

You got that right. My wife is now grabbing my phone whenever I set it down so she can play too. Looks like I'll have to get her a version for her POcket PC.
