hi,
I bought the Pharos BT GPS navigator and tried to install on my 5600.
I get an error message saying the .cab file is of not the right format.

I am hoping that some one would know what the problem is. Will this work only for PPC?

While i am at it, One more issue :)
I tried to install Battery Pack Pro 1.5.0 trail version
and i get 'unable to load the resorce file'

I am trying to install all the apps on the SD card. Is this a problem?

Thanks for the help

I'm not too familiary with Pharos offerings, but a Pocket PC application / driver typically will not install on a Smartphone device. Remember that these are 2 different platforms with different elements. It sounds to me like you've got the Pocket PC version. Check with Pharos for a Smartphone version.

Some applications don't mind being installed on the storage card, while others don't work well at all. It's hit and miss. The best thing to do, is uninstall and then reinstall it to the phone.

Thanks mike ..
Yes, it is for PPC. I thought the active sync will detect the type of
mobile device and do some magic :)

I will try the Batterypack on the main memory and see if it works ..

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, ActiveSync isn't as smart as we would like. ;) Some really good developers will put both versions in the same install and it will determine which device is connected and then install the correct version. However, this isn't too common - yet, and it's got nothing to do with ActiveSync. ;)

I use Battery Pack and it does need to be in Main Memory. I have had the older version work from my storage card but once in a while it would not load properly. This new version doesnt seem to work from the card at all.
