PPC Software?

I am thinking of moving from a 2-year old PPC (iPaq h3955) to a smartphone (Audiovox SMT 5600). I have A LOT of software for the PPC, some of which I would like to use on the smartphone. Can PPC software be used on a smartphone? If so, are there caveats or things I need to do for the transition?

While the two operating systems are based on the same code, they are still fairly different. Most applications will not run on the other platform without some tweaks from the developer. The main difference is the lack of a touch screen, which means the navigation of many apps has to be reconsidered.

Some developers have already ported their applications, and further more, some developers offer their software for both platforms under the one license. (which means you don't have to rebuy them all) Although, sadly there is not too many in this area.
