Questions on Audiovox SMT5600.

Can this device read chinese text in the MP3 player (Windows Media 10, Betaplayer, etc.)? Can it read chinese characters in pocket word and or throughout the OS? I'm talking about the Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphone edition here..

bump and one more question:

If I use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter to use my earphones, do I need to remove the adapter to get the mic to work? I'm hoping for some answers guys!

Sorry to disappoint you. But I don't think the SMT 5600 will display Chinese characters. Nothing in the OS suggests it supports Chinese characters. I looked and did not find anything on Google. It is sad because my lowly BenQ 256mb MP3 player has Chinese support. Also, I've seen an ad in HK of the O2 XDA II phone. That phone displays Chinese characters. The XDA II is essentially the same as the SMT 5600. So my conclusion is that the market determines what you get. And we're in the wrong market, my friend.
